Sample Library Research Assignments

All FYS courses include library research assignments to help students build information literacy skills, and to provide individual students with feedback on their strengths and decifits in this area. Each FYS class is assigned a librarian, who can be embedded into the FYS course asulearn site. All FYS students are assigned to view the FYS Online Library Component (online modules that teach information literacy skills).  The FYS instructor and library liaison can be close partners in helping first-year students develop the skills they'll need to succeed.
