Professor Robert W. Lee, IV is a faculty lecturer at Appalachian State University. He received his BA in Religious Studies and Appalachian Studies from Appalachian State in 2015 and his MTS from Duke University in 2017 where he received an endowed scholarship. Currently, he is a doctoral student at Wesley Theological Seminary with a focus in Spirituality and Storytelling.  Lee is an author and his first book, Stained-Glass Millennials, was met with acclaim in the theological world when it was released in 2017. His second book is being published by Penguin Random House and will be released in 2019.  A sought after preacher and speaker, Lee has preached and lectured at Harvard University, University of California-Davis, St. Michael’s College, Spartanburg Methodist College, Foundry Church DC, First Presbyterian Church, Birmingham, Memorial Episcopal Church in Baltimore, and the historic Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia.  Having had appearances on MTV and ABC’s The View, Rob is active in the field of racial reconciliation. He lives in Statesville with his wife, who also works at Appalachian, and their poodle.
