Dennis Bohr

Dennis Bohr was a Senior Lecturer in the Rhetoric and Composition Program at Appalachian State where he taught for over 20 years. He has taught a variety of courses, from composition to British Literature and playwrighting at the high school, community college and university levels.

Bohr is also co-founder of Black Sheep Theatre, a theatre troupe dedicated to producing original political drama. Black Sheep has produced Bohr’s plays in the U.S. and in Northern Ireland since 1996. His plays include Pope Joan: The Hiss of the Snake; Macbeth: The Play That Dare Not Speak Its Name; Old, Out-of-step, Anti-war Peacenik Hippies; Dark All Day (and all of the night); and The Disposable Man.

Bohr also produces, directs and acts in Black Sheep productions.
