This course will explore the origins of the Blue Ridge Parkway, how it was built and why.  We will explore some of the sites along the way and we will look at teh future of the Parkway as it continually faces funding and staffing challenges.  The course will include field trips to the Parkway and visits by scholars and employees of this linear park.
